Section Memorials

During the period when the library was built, a celebration was held and our unique status as a privately owned public library was introduced to the community. The Friends membership concept as a funding tool was introduced. Included was a tier higher than annual membership, which for $1000 provided naming rights for a designated section of the library. At the start a sign is placed in the appropriate section to recognize and honor the individual. After the individual and their spouse have passed away, a permanent leaf is installed on the giving tree in a special section reserved for Section Memorials.
